  • DC Fast Charger

  • Full EV recharge possible in less than 15 min - 100 km of Range in less than 3 minutes (which is much faster than the current IONITY chargers)

  • 1 station can recharge up to 4 vehicles simultaneously (= drivers do not have to wait for availability)

  • Assuming that the Terra 360 is using the same architecture as the previous ABB DC chargers (Terra 94, Terra 124 and Terra 184), it should be designed to meet EV Battery voltage up to 920V

  • All ABB chargers support Charging Standard CCS+CHAdeMO, CCS-only single outlet and CCS-only dual outlet

  • ABB chargers are given for 95% Efficiency

  • Usual operating temperatures range from -35 °C to +55 °C.

ABB definitively plays the card of the integrated business model to make the Terra 360 the ideal fast charger associated to charging-business which means the consumers going for a coffee or shopping meanwhile the car is charging. To help the EV-charging business development, the Terra 360 offers:

ABB definitively plays the card of the integrated business model to make the Terra 360 the ideal fast charger associated to charging-business which means the consumers going for a coffee or shopping meanwhile the car is charging. To help the EV-charging business development, the Terra 360 offers:

  • A cool display to illustrate the Battery state of charge during the recharging time

  • A customised screen for playing advertisements (videos or pictures)

  • A personal “digital appearance” by “using different foiling or changing the color of the LED light strips"

  • User access payment includes OCPP integration, Credit Card reader, PIN via Web Tools and Autocharge/ISO 15118.

ABB enters EV chargers in 2010 and has already sold more than 460,000 chargers worldwide.

There are still opened questions such as if the power would have to be shared between multiple vehicles but it is very unlikely because the Terra 184 offering 180 kW is only able to deliver 2 x 90 kW if 2 cars charge simultaneously.

Let’s remind that a Tesla Fast Charger allows to recharge at 250 kW for both vehicles. Please note that Fast DC chargers up to 500 kW are already planned to arrive on the market soon.
