⭐️ The Mercedes-AMG 2L M139 is the most powerful (155 kW/l) mass-produced 4-cyl pass car Engine 💪🏻 . From the previous M133, AMG has pushed further creative engineered mechanical ⚙️ features:

  • Crankcase lightweighting 🕊with high silicon alloy

  • Low-friction ⛸ NANOSLIDE cylinder coating

  • Twinscroll 🔀 Turbo ball bearings ⚫️

  • Outlet CAMTRONIC …

I am fascinating by the Combustion design 🔥.

To achieve 32bar effective mean pressure and 160bar peak pressure 🔝 Engineers have combined state of the art technologies:

  1. High tumble 🔄 design (inlet ports + combustion chamber)

  2. Combination of DI and PFI injectors 💦: High-pressure DI piezo operating with up to 5 inj (to reduce particles). Towards full load, additional fuel ⛽️ is supplied by solenoid PFI injectors (minimising fuel entry into Engine oil)

  3. To enhance exhaust flow-out 🌬and balance back pressure (GPF does not help), exhaust valves have been enlarged 🔛 thanks to smaller spark plugs (M12 ➡️ M10)

  4. Fuel injectors and spark plugs are now in the longitudinal direction of the cylinder head

  5. To limit knocking 💥 a special cooling system with 3 independent (Temp) cooling circuits was designed ❄️ This allowed to balance high temperature 🌡 from combustion🔥, component protection 🙏🏻 and low piston-cylinder friction.
